They say you need the right tool for the job, and the PetTech Professional Dog Grooming Kit gives you all the tools you’ll need to go about grooming dogs the right way.
From trimming nails to trimming fur, this kit provides everything you need and more, going the extra step to also provide brushes, combs, and oil for the blades.
It markets a silent motor and promises it’s easy to use in untrained hands, but is it really one of the best pet grooming kits you can buy on the market today?

PetTech Professional Dog Grooming Kit Review
As a small creature, it’s pretty reasonable to be fearful when something begins humming near your ear. Especially when the device in question goes from zero to sixty in terms of noise, that can spook a dog very quickly.
The PetTech kit prides itself on having a silent motor. While it’s not completely soundless, it’s close enough, providing only a meagre buzz that is remarkably dull when compared to other machines of this nature.
A calm dog will ensure the grooming process is faster and more efficient, and it can save you a painful scratch or two when handling the job solo.
While a quiet motor is handy for your dog, having the device be entirely cordless is a perk for you.
Sometimes grooming takes you over and around your dog, and it’s hard enough to get them to lift their foot when they’re tripping over their leash. They’re far less gracious when tangled up in a cord!
Just remember to charge the device well before you start the grooming session, as it works on a rechargeable battery rather than a couple of double-As. This is advantageous since you won’t be forced to invest in batteries over time.
For those who are forgetful or just want some options, you can still use the clippers when they’re plugged in and charging, but this will compel you to be mindful of the cord.
Aside from the electric clippers, the grooming kit includes a cleaning brush, nail clippers, a nail filer, a stainless steel straight scissor, a thinning shear, a stainless steel comb, and a small bottle of oil for blade upkeep.
But there’s more! It also includes a ceramic moving blade, a titanium fix blade, and four comb attachments for the clipper, ranging from 3mm, 6mm, 9mm, and 12mm.
You’ll have everything you need right at the start.
Easy for Amateur Groomers
If you’re new to the grooming scene or just want to cut back on a few monthly expenses, you’re in luck with this product, as it’s extremely simple to manage, handle, and learn the ins and outs of.
The lightweight body, with or without the cord, make it easy to maneuver.
The design of the clippers allows for a nice, even cut with relatively low experience in cutting any kind of hair, dog or human! That’s not to say you should use these on humans, however.
Thankfully, if you run into any trouble or wear out one attachment faster than the others, you don’t need to buy a whole new kit just to replace the one item you’ve broken.
There are replacement attachments for sale individually.
Not for Thick Coats
Thicker coats typically need a more durable set of tools for faster grooming.
The equivalent of using this kit on a thick coat would be using safety scissors to cut the weeds out of your flower bed; it’s not going to work and you’re going to break the tool in the process.
Though it may cost extra, you’ll want to buy specialized tools.
For some users, charging their devices has been a reoccurring issue. While not everyone has this problem, it still is worth mentioning; some models of these clippers don’t hold their charge very well and, in rarer cases, simply won’t turn on, despite being plugged in.
Whether it’s a concern for all kits produced by this company or simply an offhanded defect, it’s hard to say. If you do receive a defective model, you can get in touch with the company for a replacement.
Despite some concern for the longevity of this product, it has an overall great lifespan and does its intended job well.
There is little concern for the life of the blades and, if there is, the kit already comes with oil for you to freshen them up.
There may be better grooming kits on the market, but they will rack up the price significantly. If you’re not in the professional scene, you won’t get much use out of the more fine-tuned products.
For now, the PetTech Professional Dog Grooming Kit should be considered the best dog grooming kit for both new professionals and amateurs. With its range of accessories and quiet motor, it absolutely suits everyday use.
