Who doesn’t love a husky, right?

Friendly, loyal, playful and oh so fluffy, they’re a premium pet.

But do you know what’s somehow even cuter than a husky?

A mini husky.

That’s right – it’s exactly like your normal, full size Siberian husky, just a tad smaller.

Here are the 21 pictures of miniature huskies – and 21 fun facts about this most beautiful of canine companions.

21 Adorable Pictures of Miniature Huskies

They’re just as fluffy, just as playful – some even have those mesmerizing blue eyes – but they’re all rolled up in a cute little package. We can’t get enough of them – and you won’t be able to either once you’ve seen these photos of mini huskies in action.

1. Beautiful Markings

You can easily spot a husky in the crowd thanks to their beautifully unique face markings – and mini huskies are no different! Check out the symmetry and fluffiness in this husky puppy’s model demeanour.

2. Heterochromia Eyes

This gorgeous snowy Pomsky (Pomeranian x Husky) is blessed with some pretty beguiling eyes. When dogs have different colored eyes, it’s called Heterochromia Iridum and is incredibly rare. We think it’s incredibly exotic too!

3. Alaskan Klee Kai

Not all dogs that are called mini huskies are actually miniature Siberian huskies – Professor Stark, below, is a Toy Alaskan Klee Kai, a mixed breed dog.

See how the Alaskan Klee Kai vs Mini Husky compares.

4. The Red Alaskan Klee Kai

Here’s another Alaskan Klee Kai but this time, it’s a much-desired red variation. The reds generally range from a foxy ginger to a more auburn brown color like this beautiful one below.

5. Regal and Composed

Mini huskies and AKKs are known for being just as regal and composed looking as full sized Siberian Huskies. These are alert, yet calm dogs, very intelligent with excellent memories.

6.  Man’s Best Friend

Mini huskies are known for their loyalty and make great family pets. They are pack animals, so make sure that you always lead your mini husky as the alpha.

7. Fluffy Pomsky

This cutie looks like another Pomeranian cross Husky to us – check out that tail and neck ruff! When you buy a mixed breed dog, you never know how many characteristics the puppy will inherit from either breed. Some litters can have completely different looking puppies!

8.  Piercing Blue Eyes

Many huskies and mini huskies have been bred specifically to have blue eyes as it’s such an unusual look. There are no benefits or drawbacks health or vision wise for blue eyes.

9. Pack Animals

Huskies were originally bred to pull sleds as part of a pack. Despite being much smaller, mini huskies still have these same instincts and love being a part of the family – even with other dogs!

10. Intelligent

Mini huskies are incredibly intelligent animals and will be able to pick up on new commands and other training easily. Look at how beautifully Moko the Alaskan Klee Kai is sitting!

11. A Pack Of Pomskies

Canadian Pomsky are one of the most well known breeders of Pomskies and mini huskies in North America. And they ship to the US!

12. An Otherworldly Look

Some people think this unusual looking Pomsky looks like “The Others’ from Game of Thrones. Winter is coming!

13. Always High Energy!

Huskies are known for being very energetic and needing lots of daily exercise – one walk a day and lots of play too, ideally. When you see those eyes, how can you say no to a walk in the park?!

14. Lots of Hair

Be prepared for some shedding when you buy a mini husky, especially if you live in a hot country. It’s best to brush them once a week to get rid of the dead hair.

15. Howlers

Mini huskies don’t bark like all the other dogs – they howl! The noise sounds a bit like a wolf – the husky’s ancestor.

16. Escape Artists

Mini huskies are known for being crafty little creatures and can easily escape through small holes in the yard fence if they see an opportunity. Make sure you keep them on a leash at the park too, otherwise they’ll be running for miles!

17. Brain Training

Keep your mini husky’s mind stimulated by buying them chew toys to play with – these will exercise their brain and their jaws.

18. Lifespan

Mini huskies usually live for between 12 and 14 years, and Alaskan Klee Kais live between 10 to 13 years.

19. Mix and Match

There’s lots of different husky mixes being bred right now: as well as pomskies and AKKs, there are Hugs (x Pugs), Goldskys ( x Golden Retrievers), Labskys (x Labradors), Dachshusky (x Dachschund), Horgi (x Corgi), Siberpoo (x Poodle) and many more.

20. Does That Come In Extra Small?

You can even get the indescribably cute teacup size husky – try not to melt over this gorgeous Teacup Pomsky!

21. They’re Perfect

But regardless of size, shape, mix or temperament, the mini husky is one of the most beautiful, unique and loving dogs on the planet. Who wouldn’t want to add one to their family?

You’ll have to excuse us; we’re off to buy a mini husky (or two).

  1. Can you help me find one? My granddaughter has been on a wait list for a service dog for a while. This is the dog she would adore and we will have her trained.

  2. My Wife and I have had really big dogs all of our lives, like Cane Corso Mastiffs for the last 31 years, in the range of weight of 150lbs to 165. Now itโ€™s time to give all of families love to a mini Husky, With the right Discipline training and excercise the mini husky will be with us a long time!!!

  3. My Husky was as cute as they come when he was a puppy. The first word he learned was “aww,” because so many strangers said it to him when we were in public. Now people still are in awe of him, want to meet him, want to take his picture, but it’s because he can stare you down as well as a wolf, is fast as lightning, and is generally majestic. He’s cute, but not puppy cute. He’s more “handsome” or “gorgeous.” I can’t imagine stunting a dog like him into a perpetual puppy. It’s like turning a little girl into a vampire that can never age.
